Deepika Padukone celebrated her father Prakash Padukone’s 70th birthday with a lovely message and a big announcement.
She launched the Padukone School of Badminton (PSB), a project funded by her and mentored by her father and the former World No. 1 and All England Champion.
In its first year, PSB will set up 75 badminton coaching centers across 18 Indian cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Mysuru, Surat, and more.
Deepika shared a photo with her father and wrote “As someone who grew up playing badminton, I know how much it can shape a person physically, mentally, and emotionally. Through PSB, we want to spread the joy and discipline of the sport to people from all walks of life”.
She also added, “Pappa, at 70, you still live and breathe badminton. We’re making your dream come true, Badminton for All! Happy 70th Birthday!”
