Nani’s film “Hi Nanna” has confirmed its release date as December 7th, which clears up the confusion caused by the postponement of Prabhas’ “Salaar” to December 22nd. However, this situation leaves distributors and exhibitors with only two weeks to make their mark.
On the 8th of December, Varun Tej’s “Operation Valentine” and Nithin’s “Extra Ordinary Man” are also set to hit the screens. While there are some postponement rumors circulating, for now, Vishwaksen’s “Gangs of Godavari” is scheduled for the same date.
If all these films are released as planned, they’ll have until December 22nd to recoup their investments. To achieve this, they’ll need unanimous blockbuster reviews. The surprising aspect of these four films is that none of them have an experienced director who has delivered a hit.
“Hi Nanna” is directed by newcomer Shouryuv, “Operation Valentine” by newbie Shakti Pratap Singh, “Gangs of Godavari” by Krishna Chaitanya, who has had a couple of unsuccessful films previously, and “Extra Ordinary Man” by Vakkantam Vamsi, who also faced a flop on his directorial debut. The outcome in the first week of December remains uncertain.
