Darshan, who is facing charges in the brutal murder of his fan Renukaswamy, is back in jail after the Supreme Court canceled the bail earlier given by the Karnataka High Court.
Recently, Darshan appeared before the City Civil and Sessions Court through video conferencing. In the session he shocked everyone by requesting the court to give him poison, saying that life in jail had become unbearable.
He claimed that he was locked inside his prison room without being allowed to step out, had not seen sunlight for two days, his clothes had started smelling, and fungus had developed on his hands.
Darshan, along with actress Pavithra Gowda and several others, is accused of abducting and torturing Renukaswamy after he allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavithra.
The Supreme Court noted that Darshan might try to influence witnesses. So far, around 33 people have been arrested in connection with this case.
