Darshan, who is facing accusations in the murder case of his fan Renuka Swamy, has been granted temporary relief from jail.
The Karnataka High Court approved a six-week interim bail today for him to undergo a medical surgery. Darshan was arrested on June 11 for his alleged involvement in Renuka Swamy’s death.
After his initial bail request was denied by the sessions court in September, Darshan appealed to the High Court.
He mentioned that he suffers from numbness in his feet and needs surgery, which he plans to get done at a private hospital in Mysuru at his own expense.
The state provided sealed medical reports from Ballari Central Prison doctors and a neurologist from a government hospital in Ballari.
After reviewing them, Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty granted Darshan six weeks of interim bail for medical treatment.
