Darshan Granted Bail In High-Profile Murder Case

Darshan Thoogudeepa and his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda were the main suspects in the murder of Renukaswamy, a case that caused a massive uproar on social media and gained national attention.

They were accused of torturing and killing Renukaswamy after he sent offensive messages to Pavithra. Darshan and five others were arrested in June 2024 and initially held in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.

Later, they were moved to Ballari Prison after a video surfaced showing Darshan receiving VIP treatment in jail.

The Karnataka High Court granted Darshan six weeks of interim bail for medical reasons.

Now, Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and five others Nagaraju, Anu Kumar, Lakshman, Jagadeesh, and R. Pradoosh Rao have all been granted bail in the case.
