Darshan has been in the news for a serious case involving the murder of his fan, allegedly for his girlfriend. He was arrested a few months ago and later released on bail.
Recently, the Karnataka High Court granted him bail, but today the Supreme Court canceled it. The court ordered his immediate arrest, and Bengaluru police took him into custody from his home this afternoon.
The Supreme Court also criticized the High Court for going beyond its limits in granting bail.
Darshan is accused number two in the killing of 33 year old Renukaswamy, who was reportedly tortured and murdered with the help of several of Darshan’s associates.
The incident caused massive outrage on social media. Darshan had already spent months in jail before getting bail from the High Court, and now, with the Supreme Court’s order, he is back in police custody.
