Tamannah has been credited as the milky beauty of Telugu and Tamil Film Industries. She is so fair that people have to use make-up to reduce her skin color for camera and lights.
Now, she will be playing a dusky and dark beauty in her next two films – Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Devi 2. She actually tested for 50 looks for both the films to arrive on one look it seems.
The actress in her interview to a media outlet said that she is actually happy that a positive change in terms of skin color is happening in the Industry. She said, “Deep-rooted racism in all of us makes us think fair-skin is most desirable and that is wrong!”
She further said, “I look even more attractive in the new look and I am happy to be a part of these two movies that don’t really promote beauty as fair-skin. It is a completely new experience for me!” Her next two releases are F2 and That is Mahalakshmi.
