ZEE5’s latest web series “D/O Prasad Rao ” starring Rajeev Kanakala, Vasanthika, and Udaya Bhanu, is directed by Krishna Poluru. The trailer created decent buzz. This 6-episode series is now streaming, and it remains to be seen whether Krishna created his magic.

D/O Prasad Rao Story: When Swathi (Vasanthika) goes missing and stops answering calls, her father Prasad Rao (Rajeev Kanakala) rushes to Hyderabad. With no clue about her whereabouts, the case turns serious. The series follows the mystery behind her disappearance and the family’s emotional struggle.

Performances: Rajeev Kanakala delivers a powerful performance as a father, especially in the office scene and the final episode reveal. Vasanthika impresses with her natural acting as a modern young girl.

Udaya Bhanu plays a routine police role but performs it with sincerity. Gayatri Bhargavi is a surprise choice, though she falls short in the intense final moments. Bindu Chandramouli brings good emotion as the mother, and the supporting actors perform their roles well.

Technical Aspects: The music, editing, and cinematography are impressive, and AI is used neatly where required. Despite limited locations, the production team delivers good quality output. Director Krishna takes a risk with a simple core conflict, which may feel minimal at first.

However, the emotional twist in the sixth episode surprises the audience and adds depth. Ending the story in six episodes without stretching for another season is satisfying. The simple yet impactful dialogues also support the series well.

Analysis: Unlike many recent Telugu series filled with unnecessary romance and violence, “D/O Prasad Rao” avoids sensationalism and offers a clean, family-friendly watch. With strong performances and an engaging screenplay, this 6-episode series is worth watching on ZEE5.

Verdict: A simple yet emotional thriller that impresses with strong performances and a neat climax.

Bottom Line: Clean, engaging, and worth a one-time family watch.

Rating: 3/5
