Nara Rohit from quite some time have been doing some content oriented cinema mixed with popular style of filmmaking. But the films that worked for him before Rowdy Fellow were highly appreciated due to strong content. Recently, especially this 2016, he was part of many movies but none of them except for Jo Achyuthananda and Appatlo Okadundevaadu had any good Word of Mouth or Critical appreciation. His highly publicised movies like Thuntari, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe and Savitri did not even manage to last a weekend while Jo Achyuthananda was promoted well by the producer, Sai Korrapati and the movie registered as a success. Any film that is produced for a medium budget or even big budget movies need aggressive and innovative promotions to create a buzz and convert the positive Word of Mouth to collections.

Many makers dream about a positive talk after release but the makers of Appatlo Okadundevaadu movie even though were able to get a positive word from the critics are unable to affectively promote the movie to take it further. The plan to release a movie during the New Years Eve is good but they needed to create enough Buzz for the movie to go into audience and after release, they needed the critical acclaim to be taken into cinema going audience. They have failed in this aspect miserably.

Sri Vishnu and Nara Rohit had much mote riding on this movie than just it being another movie in their career. Sri Vishnu who had settled for being a supporting actor in several films got a main role in this movie and tried to carry this movie on his shoulders. Rohit also gave a good performance in the movie as a ruthless police officer. So what stopped them from aggressively promoting this movie which has already been forgotten by many is a big riddle to be solved by best detective in the world.
