Mumbai Police has given a new update in the firing case linked to filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence. Police have found some anonymous money transactions that may have international links.
Reports suggest that part of the funding could have come from Nepal. Investigators believe two groups were involved.
A Pune-based group allegedly handled logistics, while another group from North India reportedly carried out the firing. Special teams have been formed to further investigate the financial trail and connections.
The accused were reportedly paid Rs. 50,000 in advance and promised more money after the attack. They are said to be from Agra, Etawah and Haryana.
Police are also looking into claims that the suspects were recruited through social media and local networks.
