It is well-known that due to the sudden spike in the Covid-19 second wave cases across the country and in twin Telugu states noted films such as Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, Seetimaarr among others which are scheduled for an April release are postponed.
On the other hand, big-budget films like Acharya, Akhanda, Narappa and Khiladi that are scheduled for a May release are also pushed further as there is no clue on the Covid situation normalcy. The same is the case with the film which are slated to hit the screens in months such as July, June, August and so on.
Meanwhile, the latest grapevine is that as a quick action to bail out the above-mentioned biggies as the top priority, the industry bigwigs are planning for the re-schedule of the release dates. As per the initial reports, if the Covid situation continues to remain the same for the next couple of months, all the films which were supposed to release in April, May and June will start seeing the light of day from July first week.
If the news turns into reality eventually, it remains to be seen how the filmmakers accommodate the theatres for all big films during these crisis times.
