The Sandhya Theatre stampede case has reached another important stage. Iconstar Allu Arjun has been directed to appear personally before the Nampally Court on Monday for sure after the court rejected his plea for virtual attendance.
Arjun requested permission to join the hearing through video conferencing as he is currently shooting in Mumbai. However the court made it clear that his physical presence is necessary.
The case is related to the stampede that took place during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre in December 2024.
The incident resulted in the death of a woman while her young son sustained serious injuries but Allu Arjun is taking care of his needs.
Chikkadpally Police later filed a chargesheet naming Allu Arjun and several others. Tight security arrangements are expected around the court during the hearing for sure.
