Corona Second Wave; Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi postponed

Thalaivi, a biopic on legendary yesteryear heroine and former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa has caught the audience attention soon after the impressive film’s theatrical trailer was released a few days ago. Starring Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in the titular role, the makers have already announced that the film will hit the screens at a pan-India level on April 23rd.

Meanwhile, the fresh development is that the film’s release has been postponed. Considering the widespread of Corona second wave cases across the country, the makers have decided to put the film’s release on hold. An official announcement regarding the same came out in the evening hours of April 9th. The new release date for the film is yet to be out.

A couple of days back, the makers of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Love Story have also announced that the film’s release is pushed further. Will more films join the postponement list? Remains to be seen.

Co-starring Arvind Swami in the legendary MGR’s role, Thalaivi is directed by AL Vijay. Vibri Media and Karma Media Entertainment banners produced it.
