It is well-known that senior hero Venkatesh has wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming film, Drushyam 2.Reportedly, the entire shooting part for Drushyam 2 was completed in just 40 days.
On the other hand, ever since the film went on the floors news has been circulating among media circles is that the film will skip its theatrical release and opt for a direct OTT streaming on Amazon Prime Video. But trashing all the reports, the film producer Suresh Babu cleared the air by saying that Drushyam 2 will first have a theatrical release and later have a digital streaming
But now the fresh update is that considering the dangerous situations that are prevailing due to the second wave of Coronavirus across twin Telugu states, the makers are planning to go for an OTT release. An official confirmation regarding the same is expected to be out soon.
Along with Venkatesh, Drushyam 2 also stars Meena, Ester Anil, Nadiya, Karthika among others in key roles. The film is an official Telugu remake of the acclaimed Malayalam thriller Drishyam 2, which had a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video a couple of months back.
Jeethu Joseph, the director of the Malayalam original, has directed the Telugu remake as well. The film is being produced by Suresh Babu and Anthony Perumbavoor.
