Coolie is one of the most talked-about upcoming films in Indian cinema, and there’s a lot of excitement around it.
Starring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj the film has created a huge buzz even before release. All non-theatrical rights have been sold for massive amounts, showing the craze for this powerful combo.
The movie is set to release on August 14th in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Recently, the makers finalized the overseas theatrical rights deal for a record Rs. 81 crore, covering all languages. This is one of the highest deals for an Indian film overseas.
There’s also strong demand for Telugu and Tamil theatrical rights. Coolie is a mass action entertainer set in the backdrop of gold smuggling.
The cast includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Junior MGR, and Reba Monica John. The film is produced by Sun Pictures, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
