The highly successful film “Sardar” starring Karthi and Mithran is all set for a thrilling sequel, “Sardar: Part 2.” The makers confirmed this during the success meet last year and recently, social media revealed that pre-production work for the sequel has commenced. Fans can expect the movie to hit the floors later this year, as per reports.
In an interesting update, the makers have chosen Yuvan Shankar Raja as the new music composer for “Sardar 2,” replacing GV Prakash who was the composer for the first part. This collaboration marks the third time that PS Mithran and Yuvan will join forces, having previously worked together on “Irumbu Thirai” and “Hero.”
The sequel promises to continue the intriguing storyline revolving around Chandra Bose, an ex-RAW agent, and his son Vijay Prakash, a dutiful yet attention-seeking police officer. Both characters will be reprised by Karthi. As for the rest of the cast and crew, details are yet to be announced.
“Sardar” featured Chunky Panday as the formidable antagonist, and actresses Raashii Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan in prominent roles, with senior actress Laila in a crucial part.
