NTR is a well-known name among Telugu households. Legendary actor cum path-breaking politician NT Rama Rao brought many reforms in society as the chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh in 1980.
Later, NTR’s sons like Balakrishna, and Harikrishna entered the film industry as his successors. In the third generation of the Nandamuri family, Nandamuri Tarakaratna, Junior NTR, and Kalyan Ram were introduced to the silver screen as NT Rama Rao’s grandsons. While Junior NTR and his brother Kalyan Ram succeed in their career and continuing in the films as stars, Tarakaratna failed to impress the audience.
A few years back Tarakaratna even changed his name to NTR but luck is not in his favor for him even after the name change. Done and dusted with his filmy career, Tarakaratna has decided to focus on politics and his current activity as proof of it. Yesterday, NTR visited a village named Palaparru near Pedanandipadu in the Guntur district for the statue inauguration of his grandfather NT Rama Rao. In the media interaction, Tarakaratna announced that he will be contesting in the upcoming general elections from the state of Andhra Pradesh on TDP’s cycle symbol.
Tarakaratna even revealed that his brother Junior NTR will also campaign for their grandfather established political party and will work hard to bring TDP back to the ruling. Making an announcement is fine but will Tarakaratna get a green signal from the party chief Chandrababu? Remains to be seen.
