Chiyaan Vikram is no alien to Telugu audience and in fact he has much bigger fan following in Telugu than he does in Tamil. He is known for taking awful lot of risks for his characters and at times they fail to translate into box office success. But the actor is driven to establish himself as one of the best actors and he never lets the ambition die. Recently, he was seen in two roles in his film Iru Mugan/ Inkokkadu and the movie even though panned by critics became a blockbuster in Tamil and recovered costs in Telugu. The character Love was likes by his fans to the core.
He was rumoured to be part of Don’t Breathe tamil remake and preparing for the role but the project has been set on back burner at the movement as the rights to remake the film are still to be acquired. The actor has moved on to his next exciting script to be directed by Vijay who made Vaalu with Simbu. Manjima Mohan and Sai Pallavi were considered for the role. Eventually, Sai Pallavi got the role. This will be her debut in Tamil after being sensational Malar, in Malayalam Premam and debuting in a Shekhar Kammula film, Fida in Telugu.
She was supposed to do Mani Ratnam – Karthi film but pulled out of the movie due to intense romantic scenes. Chiyaan Vikram will start shooting for the movie from February 2017 and the movie is slated for a festival release. After this movie he will be collaborating with Hari, Yamudu franchise director, for Saamy sequel, Saamy was remade as Lakshmi Narasimha done by Balakrishna in Telugu, and is slated to be working with Gautam Vasudev Menon on his Dhruva Nakshtram. Vikram will sport a new look for this action thriller it seems.
