Chiranjeevi’s daughter to remake a Japanese movie

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter and noted costume designer Sushmita Konidela and her husband Vishnu Prasad turned producers with a web series titled, Shootout at Alair which was premiered on Zee5 last year.

Though the web series failed to impress the subscribers, the lavish production values by Sushmita’s Gold Box Entertainments got good applause from the critics. Meanwhile, the latest news is that Sushmita and Vishnu are in plans to produce a feature film.

Reportedly, Sushmita has acquired the remake rights of the 2017 Tamil crime thriller, 8 Thottakkal. More details regarding the Telugu remake of 8 Thottakkal are yet to be out.

But the twist in the tale is that 8 Thottakkal itself was inspired by the 1949 Japanese movie, Stray Dog.
