Chiranjeevi: We do have the right to ask for a ticket hike

It is widely known that Megastar Chiranjeevi is the first person in the industry to approach the existing twin Telugu state governments with a cinema ticket hike proposal. He played a key role in convincing twin state governments to hike movie ticket prices.

In today’s Acharya pre-release press meet when Chiranjeevi asked about approaching governments for the ticket price hike, he reacted in an emotional manner. “Yes due to the pandemic, the budget for every movie which was on the sets increased almost double and to get out of the financial hurdles, we are left with no option but to request for a ticket price hike”. The Megastar also said that being the highest taxpayers in the country, we too expected some sought of relaxations from respective governments. I’m glad that both the Telugu governments understood the film industry problems and agreed to hike the ticket prices.

Coming back to Acharya, this Koratala Siva directional has Pooja Hegde as the female lead and is slated to hit the screens on April 29th.
