Chiranjeevi: The Heart And Pride Of Tollywood

Telugu cinema’s global success owes much to Megastar Chiranjeevi, who turns 70 today. In the 1980s and 1990s, when Telugu films were mostly seen as regional, Chiranjeevi broke barriers.

His mass-appeal stories, stylish action and iconic dance moves won audiences everywhere and inspired a new wave of actors and filmmakers.

With films like Khaidi, Pasivadi Pranam, Yamudiki Mogudu, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Gang Leader, Gharana Mogudu and Indra, he delivered several industry hits more than any other hero.

Beyond films he is admired for his generosity, always helping those in need without publicity. He also encouraged fans to support social causes proving that a reel hero can be a real-life role model.

Honored with the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and a Guinness World Record in 2024 as the most prolific actor-dancer, Chiranjeevi remains a guiding force.

A true megastar, his legacy extends far beyond cinema and his journey continues with upcoming films in 2026.
