Megastar Chiranjeevi is a name that is known throughout the country. At the peak of his career, Chiranjeevi was the highest paid actor in the country, charging more than Amitabh Bachchan himself. Chiranjeevi impressed the audiences with his overall performance and his mind-blowing dances, which were never seen on the big screen, in Indian cinema, prior to that.
When Chiranjeevi announced his retirement from films in 2008, his fans were highly upset, as the actor took that decision at one of his highest career points. Post that, the actor took a really long break, and finally made his comeback with Khaidi No. 150, in 2017. There were a lot of expectations on Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, but the actor disappointed his fans by picking a remake to be his comeback and 150th film.
While Chiranjeevi is currently busy with Koratala Siva’s Acharya and was previously seen in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy – both of which were original Telugu films, fans have been disappointed that the actor picked two remakes for his next – the remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer and the remake of the Tamil film Vedhalam. According to the latest reports, Chiranjeevi is said to have decided to put the remake of Vedhalam on hold, and take up director Bobby’s film first, which will see Chiranjeevi in the kind of role that he did in Gangleader. If this turns out to be true, then it would be a major treat for audiences.
