Chiranjeevi and team heading for a massive risk?

It is already known that Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to begin shooting for the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer, which is being directed by Tamil director Mohan Raja. Godfather is being speculated to be the title of the film, as the makers are reportedly feeling that it is the best title for the film’s subject matter.

On the other hand, actor Satya Dev has been roped in to play an important part in the film, one that Vivek Oberoi played in the original. It is also being said that Chiranjeevi personally called Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and has requested him to be a part of the film, and it is being said that he could be seen playing the part that Prithviraj played in the original.

The latest reports suggest that the team of the film is planning to make the film on a pan-Indian scale, and that it’s the main reason why Chiranjeevi wanted to rope in Salman Khan, as he feels that Salman’s presence would attract the North Indian audience to the theatres. Considering that this is a remake film, sources say that it is a huge risk to make the film on a pan-Indian basis, as audiences would have already watched the original version, which is available on OTT platforms. Venkatesh’s Narappa, which is a remake of the Tamil film Asuran, did not get a good response, hence sources feel that this is perhaps not the right decision by the makers of Chiranjeevi’s film.
