At the Thug Life audio launch, singer Chinmayi’s live performance of ‘Muththa Mazhai’ received huge applause and quickly went viral.
Although the film’s Tamil version is sung by Dhee, Chinmayi’s powerful rendition sparked comparisons online. Fans began debating whose version was better leading to a clash on social media especially on Twitter.
Chinmayi responded gracefully in an interview. She clarified that Dhee was supposed to perform at the event but could not attend due to being out of town.
Chinmayi joined in the last moment and was overwhelmed by the love she received there. She humbly said that vocal maturity comes with time and praised Dhee for her crazy voice, emphasizing there is no competition between them.
