Chinmayi Responds Strongly To Social Media Criticism

Chinmayi Sripaada strongly reacted to social media trolling after she criticised Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The actors had congratulated lyricist Vairamuthu for receiving the Jnanpith Award which singer Chinmayi questioned.

She said it was wrong to publicly celebrate someone who had faced allegations during the #MeToo movement. Her words led to very huge trolling with many users attacking her for speaking against the veteran stars.

Responding firmly Chinmayi said she has each and every right to express her disappointment.

She also added that she was once a huge fan of both actors but expected better from them. She also pointed out that one of them holds a public position and should be more responsible without fail.

She has often been vocal about issues related to Vairamuthu and continues to stand by her views.
