Chinmayi Criticizes Mindset Around Marriage And Dowry

Chinmayi Sripada strongly reacted to the death of former model and corporate professional Twisha Sharma.

Twisha a 33 year old woman from Noida, reportedly died after facing dowry-related harassment just five months into her marriage.

She had married Samarth Singh from Bhopal in December 2025 and her family alleged that she suffered continuous mental harassment linked to dowry demands without fail.

Reacting on social media, Chinmayi criticized the mindset of some families and society towards married women. She said many parents treat daughters like ‘commodities’ after marriage and expect them to silently suffer.

Swetaa Varma who worked with Twisha in Mugguru Monagallu also expressed shock over the incident. She remembered Twisha as a cheerful and positive person who always spread happiness and laughter around her.
