Shortly after the release of Naga Chaitanya’s film Love Story, in 2021, it was officially announced that Samantha and Chaitanya were getting divorced. There were speculations about the same, in social media, for months before the official announcement, but it was only after the film’s release was it publicly stated. It is already known that Chaitanya refused to talk about his personal life, and especially about his marriage and divorce, with the media, during the promotions for Love Story.
In the months that have passed between then and now, Samantha has opened up on her side of the story, and now, Chaitanya has commented on his divorce for the first time since the announcement. He said that the decision was made mutually and that he and Sam split on good terms. He said that he and Sam are now happy with where they are, and what they are doing.
Chaitanya is currently promoting his upcoming film, Bangarraju, which is a sequel to the 2014 film Soggade Chinni Nayana, in which he will be seen alongside his father Nagarjuna. The film is all set to release on January 14th, for Sankranthi.
