Charmee attends ED questioning today

When the drugs scandal broke out in Tollywood in 2017, everyone was shocked to hear the names that were announced by the Special Investigation Team that was formed by the government of Telangana, to look into the matter. Upon investigation, the SIT said that there weren’t any proofs of drug usage by any of the names mentioned by them.

Now, four years later, the ED took over this case and is investigating the financial aspect of the case, stating that there are many transactions that are unaccounted for, from the bank accounts of the names mentioned. Director Puri Jagannath was first issued notices by the ED to attend for investigation and has been asked to submit his financial statements from 2015-2017 for the initiation of his investigation.

Today, on September 2nd, Charmee Kaur has been called to attend the investigation. Puri and Charmee have been partners for a few years now, co-producing Puri’s every film. Apart from Charamee and Puri, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep, Subbaraju, actress Charmee Kaur, Tanish, and Tarun are also a part of the list, and the ED has added two names to the list now, which includes Rana Daggubati and Rakul Preet Singh.
