Nandamuri Balakrishna took it upon himself to make biopic of his father, Legendary NTR and he even acted in the role. NTR Kathanayakudu failed at the box office but that didn’t dampen the courage of the actor.
He said, “We wanted the movie to be a celebration of positive spirit that my father had. He lived his life on principles and we made them the highlights. May be people expected something more but that doesn’t mean our efforts are wasted. We couldn’t figure out what exactly people wanted and that is it!”
He then continued on to say that they did not change Mahanayakudu in anyway and just crisped the movie run-time. Also, he said that all the things they showed are 90% true and they did not add fiction to many.
About giving distributors an additional percentage in profits, he said, “We are all family. We need to save each other. My films have been big hits and flops too. When we enjoy fruits of success, we need to bear the brunt of losses too!”
About Mokshagna’s debut, he said that he did not plan anything yet but will try to launch him next year. He also praised Krish for his commitment to project and time management. NTR Mahanayakudu is releasing on 22nd February.
