Chanakya is a film in which Gopichand has pinned a lot of hopes so that he will get a good break in his career. So read on to see how this film turns out to be.
Story: Rama krishna played by Gopichand is a bank employee who hides his identity to all. He is actually a RAW agent who is assigned to bring back a dreaded terrorist Qureshi to India. In this process, Qureshi and his son kidnap four able officers of RAW. Rama Krishna takes the big challenge and enters Pakistan to save them and this forms the crux of the story.
Performances: Gopichand has managed to pull off a spy in a good way. He is good in the action department and does the stunts well. Mehreen looks dumb in the film with her over action and lifeless screen presence.
Zareen Khan was very good but she had nothing much to do. Ali was okay and so was Sunil in his side kicks role. Upen Patel as the gangster was super cool and did efficiently.

Analysis: Thiru has straight away copied films like Ek Tha Tiger, D Day and more Telugu films for this films script. He has given the film a good look and got all the production values right but his taking and screenplay have gone for a toss.
He does not create good interest for the audience as he brings in the stupid songs and romance for Gopichand which looks odd at this age. This track disappoints the audience like never before and takes away all the sheen in the film.
Once the film holds track in second half, Thiru has no time left and makes so many mistakes. Stunts are overused, logic goes for a toss and every thing happens so convincingly for the hero making the audience in a sigh of disbelief. If you are the one who have seen the mentioned films above, just re watch them to stay away from this one.
