Challenging task ahead for Bellamkonda Srinivas?

Kollywood star Dhanush’s Karnan under Maari Selvaraj’s direction was released on April 9th. Opened to good reports, the film failed to generate good revenues at the box office.

Trade analysts opinion that the Covid second wave has affected Karnan box office prospects badly otherwise it would have emerged as a cult hit in Dhanush’s career. While Kalaippuli S Thanu bankrolled the project, it has 96′ fame Gouri Krishnan in a prominent role.

Meanwhile, the latest news is that senior producer Bellamkonda Suresh has acquired the Telugu remake rights of the film. Buzz is also that Suresh’s son Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas will be reprising Dhanush’s role in the remake version.

It needs to be seen, can Bellamkonda do justice to the challenging role portrayed by Dhanush or not.
