Chak De India fame actor passes away at the age of 66

Rio Kapadia, 66, passed away after starring in Chak De! India and Dil Chahta hai.

At the age of 66, veteran actor Rio Kapadia passed away. His performances in films like Chak De! India, Dil Chahta Hai, Mardaani, and others have made him a household name. India Today reported that the actor’s revelation was confirmed by his pal Faisal Malik. His wife Maria Farah and their two children, Aman and Veer, survived him.

It should be noted that Rio Kapadia’s cremation would take place at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon, Mumbai, on September 15.

Additionally, the actor’s demise’s cause of death has not yet been made public.

Following the viral revelation, the actor has received several tributes on social media from fans and movie stars.

In addition to acting in films, the late actor appeared in one of the most well-liked television series, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. He simultaneously performed King Subala of Gandhara, the father of Gandhari, in Siddharth Tewary’s Mahabharat.

Rio had previously discussed the rights of performers in the television industry and urged other actors to support one another. He has also spoken out about the problems performers encounter in the profession at the same time that he was replaced by another actor for a key role in a show in the year 2012.

Rio Kapadia last appeared in Season 2 of Made in Heaven.
