Celina Jaitly Gets Hope After Delhi HC Order

Celina Jaitly is finally feeling relieved after the Delhi High Court ordered the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to help her contact her brother, Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitly who has been detained in Abu Dhabi since September 2024.

She shared a long message on X saying she has not spoken to him for 15 months and that this court order has given her new hope.

Celina explained that the court heard her petition asking for access to her brother and legal support. The MEA submitted its status report and appointed a Nodal Officer to coordinate with her.

Although she still hasn’t been able to speak to Vikrant, the Additional Solicitor General told the court they will make every effort to arrange communication.

The judge instructed the MEA to try all available methods, including the TAMM app or any alternative platform, to help her speak to her brother. The next hearing is on December 23rd.
