Catherine Teresa has become the hotshot actress with her Sarrainodu and sensuous songs in Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Goutham Nanda. The actress has good acting skills too as she proved it in Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Madras. In Tamil and Malayalam, she did few films that highlight her acting skills more than her glamour and one such film is Kanithan. Now, in the Telugu remake of that film, the actress has been selected to play the character of the leading lady.
The movie is being remade by Nikhil Siddharth and Santhosh who made the original film in Tamil is directing the movie, in Telugu as well. As the director liked her performance in the original and couldn’t find any suitable replacement, he wanted to continue with her as the heroine in Telugu too. The actress is happy that she got to play this character in Telugu as well.
Nikhil at this point is completing his movie, Kirrak Party. The movie was supposed to release on 9th of February but we hear that it could release on 23rd or in March. The movie is mostly his first Kannada remake and Kanithan remake will be a Tamil one. Right now, the actor is looking for some more new challenging scripts after these two films. The shoot of Kanithan remake will start in March as per the reports.
