Casting Couch Issue Back In Spotlight

Casting couch is a sensitive and widely discussed issue in the film industry and Tollywood is no exception.

Recently the topic resurfaced after a Telugu influencer shared her disturbing experience while trying to enter the industry. Her video quickly went viral due to the seriousness of her allegations.

The influencer, an NRI from New York named Piku Nemali, said she approached an assistant director for opportunities.

After sharing her portfolio, she was allegedly asked to meet a producer at a resort, indirectly seeking sexual favours. She refused and blocked the person.

Anchor Jhansi responded and advised her to file a complaint with the Women’s Committee. Now, all eyes are on whether any strict action will be taken.
