Natural Star Nani was all geared up to release his 25th film, V, last year, but the coronavirus pandemic struck the country at that time, and the film could never release in theatres. While the filmmakers wanted to wait to release the film theatrically, it never came to be, and the film ended up releasing on Amazon Prime. There were a lot of expectations on the film as it was Nani’s film, and it was the third collaboration between him and director Mohan Krishna Indraganti, after two successful films like Ashta Chamma and Gentleman.
Upon releasing on Amazon Prime, V failed to live up to expectations and greatly disappointed the audiences. According to the latest reports, Nani seems to be willing to take the same kind of risk yet another time. Right when his upcoming film Tuck Jagdish was ready to release, the second wave of coronavirus hit the country once again, causing the film’s theatrical release to be postponed. It is now being said that Nani has given his nod to release Tuck Jagdish digitally.
The makers are currently said to be negotiating with digital platforms, to release the film on OTT platforms, and an official announcement is expected to be made very soon. Tuck Jagdish is directed by Siva Nirvana and has Jagapathi Babu, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma play important roles. Here’s hoping that this film at least turns out to be a hit despite being released digitally, unlike V, which turned out to be a disappointment for Nani.
