Can Tollywood’s Cost Cutting Committee really help?

The Producers’ Council of Tollywood has established a Cost Cutting Committee to help analyze the growing costs of movies and where things are going wrong. It is expected that this committee would somehow help reduce the inflated costs and bring down the budgets of movies.

However, fact remains that forming such a committee doesn’t fully guarantee a change in the industry. Even if the committee gives out a good report and analysis, in an industry that is run by star actors, whose beck and call everyone answers, it is to be wondered whether the committee would really be able to help out in any real way.

With the fact that the remuneration of actors is what’s causing the budget of movies to inflate, it is to be seen how the committee will be able to help in any manner. Moreover, as long as the content of movies doesn’t get any better in the industry, no amount of budget is less.
