Nagarjuna Akkineni and Ram Gopal Verma have been an epic combination in Telugu Film History that changed the way films are made. They always thought ahead of times with Shiva, Antham and Govinda Govinda. All three movies are still popular while Shiva is regarded as the film that changed the Industry forever. But such perfect combination delivered a film that not even fans showed interest to watch in Theaters.
The movie collected less than one crore over the weekend and this is an all-time low for a star actor like Nagarjuna. He trusted in his old friend and gave him all the chance to come back and prove himself at the box office. But the audience are not that kind and the film too has been made in such a way that many who saw it felt Nag should have never let the movie happen to spoil their name. While few are telling even Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t escape Department, Aag because of Sarkar films, then what could Nag have done.
Well, the director seems to have hit rock bottom, as Nagarjuna decided to move ahead and plan properly to revive himself from this. But can RGV once a name that drove people to theatres in herds is now unable to even sell tickets even when he collaborated with his first sensational film hero. This must be a big wake up call to him and he should decide on how to go forward. He can no longer say, his experiments at low cost are hit as if he tries to do so, even they won’t be recovering the investment now. Let’s wait and see, what will be his next step.
