Can halting shootings really put an end to Tollywood’s problems?

All film shootings in Tollywood have been asked to be stalled from August 1st while the producers’ council reassess and understands the reason why films are not working well in theatres. For the past few months, after the release of big-ticket films like RRR and KGF 2, no film has been able to make an impact in the theatres, with even films of top stars like Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu unable to captivate the audience.

Everyone is now wondering what sort of an impact stalling film shootings will really have on the situation, as the primary reason for audiences not showing up to theatres is the huge ticket prices. While the concept and quality of the film being offered tot he audience is also equally, if not more important, whether the film is a good quality picture or not, audiences are currently in the state of mind where they would rather pay the ticket price to an OTT platform dn watch several movies for the same rate than just a single movie.

On the other hand, it is to be noted that the sensibilities of audiences are changing, with changing times, and for movie to really capture audiences, the sensibilities need to be reworked accordingly, which needs to be taken care of by filmmakers for future projects. Future projects could be saved from the assessment being done currently, but stalling the shooting of current films could result in nothing.
