SS Thaman created a wave for himself with his first album, Kick. His background score and different sound connected instantly with many viewers, listeners. He rode the high tide of success with Brindavanam, Dookudu, Ragada, Mirapakay albums. Devi Sri Prasad struck back with albums like Jalsa, Gabbar Singh, Attharintiki Daredi, Legend, Julayi.
From 2015, SS Thaman’s stock value went down and Devi Sri Prasad managed to maintain his place. With 2018 Tholiprema, Thaman proved his mettle once again and he started to climb the ladder again.
2020 Ala Vaikuntapurramloo album has made him the most sought after composer and Devi Sri Prasad did produce a huge blockbuster with Uppena but big films seems to be going Thaman way. The cute looking composer gave a decent album for Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab and promised to give chartbuster with PK-Rana film.
Most probably he might bag Trivikram – Mahesh film. There is a chance of him composing for Jr. NTR – Koratala Siva film. Devi Sri Prasad has Pawan Kalyan film with Harish Shankar, Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and no other big star film.
He has to come up with chartbuster albums that can improve the chances of the films at the box office. Fans of stars have expressed dissatisfaction over his recent big film audios and Devi Sri Prasad fans want him to answer all his critics with Pushpa and PK-Harish film.
Thaman will try to give his best to Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, PK-Rana Film, Mahesh -Trivikram film. If both of the composers’ professional rivalry to one up another gives us great songs to hear, we are all up for it. We don’t want fans to compare and pull any one down, as both of them proved beyond any doubt their talents.
