In the history of Tollywood, Akhil Akkineni probably had the most anticipated debut ever. He was already famous for being Sisindri and amassed a good following for his cricket skills, which were witnessed by audiences during the various matches of Celebrity Cricket League. As a result, there were sky-high expectations on his debut. Added to that was the fact that mass director VV Vinayak was directing his debut, Nithiin was producing it, and the film itself was named Akhil: The Power Of Jua.
The trailers, songs and other looks from the film created a lot of sensation, and fans couldn’t wait to watch the film in theatres. However, upon its release, Akhil turned out to be a major disaster, leaving a sour taste in everyone’s mouth. Post that, Akhil took a gap of 2 years and came back with Hello. While Hello was well appreciated by the audiences, the film failed to be a blockbuster success for Akhil, which was the need of the hour. Akhil once again took a 2-year gap and came with Mr. Majnu, which once again disappointed the audiences.
Akhil is now gearing up to entertain the audiences with Most Eligible Bachelor, and there were decent expectations on the film at the time it was announced. However, following repeated delays, the film slowly lost any buzz surrounding it and is struggling to be released as well, due to the pandemic. Akhil is hoping to score a blockbuster with at least this film, and get back into the game. From getting a dream debut to struggling for a hit, a lot of things went wrong with Akhil’s career as an actor, which he is hoping to make right very desperately. Fans feel that the actor will surely be able to score a blockbuster when he manages to really break the mould and set a new trend in the industry with new concepts and a stellar performance. Here’s hoping that Akhil will very soon get back into the game.
