Call For Clean Cinema: Dil Raju’s Strong Message On Drug Abuse

Drug use and distribution remain serious crimes, but addiction among youth continues to rise. Despite strict laws the issue hasn’t slowed down. When celebrities are involved, it sets a harmful example for society.

At the International Day Against Drug Abuse event in Hyderabad, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju proposed a strict rule.

He said, “The Malayalam film industry is already banning artists involved in drugs. As TFDC chairman, I want to bring a similar rule in Tollywood. I’ll discuss it with the industry and send a clear message against drug usage”.

His statement gained attention especially as the film industry faces repeated scrutiny over drug allegations. Ram Charan, Vijay Devarakonda, and CM Revanth Reddy also attended the event.

Previously several Tollywood celebrities were questioned by officials in drug-related cases but most were cleared. Still, Dil Raju’s proposal signals a stronger stance going forward.
