Atlee set up himself as a top filmmaker in Kollywood, mainly in large part to his steady success. His most recent film, Jawan, boosted his status in Indian cinema. Following Jawan’s success, Allu Arjun, who had originally planned to work with Trivikram after finishing Pushpa 2, has decided to partner with Atlee instead.
The structure for their project, including the storyline and various discussions, has already been completed. Allu Arjun will easily shift to this next film after completing Pushpa 2. Atlee is now in pre-production for the future project, which is said to be produced by Sun Pictures and feature music by Anirudh. An formal announcement about the project is expected to coincide with Allu Arjun’s birthday.
According to reports, Atlee would be paid 60 crore for his directorial efforts, as well as a part of the film’s profits share fair deal given his immense reputation and track record of success. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is reportedly asking a significant compensation of about 120 crore for his involvement in the film. When the cast and staff salaries are taken into account, the total cost of this partnership is expected to approach 250 crore.
