She recently made headlines by returning advance payments to producers and hiking her fee to Rs 10 crores for new film projects, a significant jump from her previous fee of Rs 5 crores for films like Kushi and Citadel.
Samantha intends to use her six-month break from acting to reenergize herself after a taxing year of nonstop filming. For the industry, this break might mean a loss of between Rs 15 and 20 crores, and when you factor in the products she supports, the cost rises to about Rs 30 crores annually.
Despite not taking up new acting projects, Samantha will continue to fulfill her commitments by promoting her upcoming film Kushi and the Citadel web series.
