Rajamouli’s upcoming film, RRR, with NTR and Ram Charan as its leads, has been postponed several times and has been in the making for three years now. When everyone thought that film would finally be released, on January 7th, after all the delays, the film’s release was once against postponed, due to the increasing number of omicron cases in the country.
According to the latest reports, the makers of RRR have rejected a deal of Rs. 500 Crores from a leading OTT platform, which offered to release the film directly on OTT. Right from the very beginning, the makers of Rajamouli have maintained that the film is to be experienced only in the theatre, for the complete theatre experience, and have even reportedly rejected several OTT offers in the past.
On the other hand, the new release date for RRR is yet to be announced. The film is expected to release only after things once again stabilise in the country, as the film needs the entire Indian market to go back to normal.
