Director SS Rajamouli is still busy promoting his film RRR, which was released yesterday, among huge expectations, around the globe. The director didn’t disappoint the audience, giving them exactly what they want, making RRR a blockbuster. The movie has been breaking several records since before its release, turning out to be highly profitable.
Now that RRR is finally off the director’s hands, after almost 5 years, the director is expected to take a break from everything and fly off for 15 days in April. By the time he returns to India, the theatrical run of RRR is expected to come to an end. After his return, Rajamouli is expected to shift his focus towards the script work of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s film, completely, sometime in the last week of May, or the first week of June. Rajamouli’s father, writer Vijayendra Prasad already stated that they are working on an African forest backdrop action-adventure film, on a scale that hasn’t been done by anyone in the country before.
There were several speculations of the involvement of a second actor in the film until recently, but Rajamouli debunked all of those rumours, clearly stating that the film is going to feature only Mahesh in the lead role. The film is expected to begin shooting in early 2023.
