It appears that Dil Raju, a prominent distributor in the Nizam region, is taking a cautious approach when it comes to Prabhas’s films. Recent developments in the Nizam film business suggest that he is increasingly reluctant to take on substantial financial risks associated with Prabhas’s projects.
Even for Prabhas’s previous film, negotiations with Dil Raju reportedly fell through. Dil Raju is a well-known figure in the film industry, known for acquiring distribution rights for major films.
However, the underwhelming performance of recent big-budget releases may have caused him to reconsider investing heavily in such projects, For Prabhas’s Adipurush, Dil Raju was initially interested in distribution, but the quoted price of 60Cr with 50Cr being non refundable led to his withdrawal from the deal.
A similar situation occurred with Salaar, where makers quoted a high price of 70Cr on a Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) basis, causing Dil Raju to opt out. Reportedly, Mythri Movie Makers are now in final discussions to acquire the Nizam rights for Salaar. These developments suggest a shift in Dil Raju’s approach to big-budget Prabhas films, favoring caution and risk-avoidance.
