Mithra Mandali which released during Diwali 2025 turned out to be a major box office failure. The film starred Priyadarshi, Rag Mayur, Prasad Behara and Vishnu Oi in key roles with YouTuber Niharika NM making her Tollywood debut as the female lead.
Directed by Vijayender S, the comedy drama is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Bunny Vas who released the film, suffered heavy losses and recently spoke about what went wrong. He said that when he watched the film in the editing room he felt it was decent and believed it would connect with audiences.
However the real problem became clear after watching it in theatres. Scenes that were expected to get laughs received complete silence. He revealed that the film resulted in losses of nearly Rs. 6 crores.
Bunny Vas also shared that he couldn’t watch the final cut before release, as he visited a temple due to personal beliefs.
The film was produced by Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala, with music by RR Dhruvan.
