Allu Sirish is careful about the movies he chooses and doesn’t make them quickly like other actors. His latest film, “Buddy“, was released on August 2nd. This movie is a Telugu remake of the Tamil film “Teddy”, which starred Arya and Sayyeshaa Saigal, but with many changes.
There wasn’t much excitement about “Buddy” before its release. The team tried to promote it as a family film with elements appealing to children, but their efforts didn’t work out.

“Buddy” aimed to break even with a target of Rs. 5 crores. However, in the first 3 days, it only earned Rs. 0.70 crores, which is quite low. Even though the ticket prices were lowered to attract more viewers, the negative reviews led to lower than expected openings. The film still needs to earn Rs. 4.30 crores to reach its break even point.
