“Breathing Feels Like A Luxury,” Says Saiyami Kher

Saiyami Kher has spoken about Mumbai’s worsening air pollution and said it reminds her of the COVID-19 days.

The actress known for Ghoomer, Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai and Mirzya shared that she had to stop her daily morning runs at Carter Road in Bandra a routine she followed for over 10 years.

She said the very much poor air quality forced her to wear masks again keep windows closed and switch to running on a treadmill indoors.

Saiyami called the situation heartbreaking and said breathing clean air now feels like a luxury. She added that pollution is affecting health and mental well being and should not become a political issue.

Recently Mumbai recorded an AQI of 130, one of the highest levels for February, worrying many residents.
